Kyungkonjin, OT for participants of '2025 Regional Value Entrepreneurship Development Project' ends

Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Content Agency) announced on the 23rd that it held an orientation for participants in the '2025 Regional Value Entrepreneur Development Project' program at the Eastern Gyeonggi Cultural Creation Hub on June 18th.

This project aims to discover and support early-stage startup teams with content convergence startup items based on regional resources in eight cities and counties in the eastern Gyeonggi region (Gapyeong, Gwangju, Guri, Namyangju, Yangpyeong, Yeoju, Icheon, and Hanam). This year, a total of 90 teams applied, recording the highest competition rate ever, and 30 teams were finally selected after document and presentation evaluations.

The selected teams will participate in a full-scale capacity building program, including specialized entrepreneurship education, idea advancement workshops, and expert consulting, starting from the end of June. Afterwards, the top 20 teams will be selected again through an interim evaluation, and each team will be provided with up to 30 million won in startup funds, for a total of 360 million won.

In addition to financial support, practical business support such as ▲ expert one-point mentoring ▲ brand design (BI/CI) development ▲ promotional content production will be linked. Gyeongkonjin aims to complete business establishment in the eastern Gyeonggi region within the year through this program.

Seo Jae-jeong (Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province), one of the selected participants, said, “I have high expectations for this opportunity to promote the unique value of the region through this project,” and expressed his will to run the project sustainably.

President Tak Yong-seok said, “Last year, through the same project, we created 81 jobs and achieved sales of approximately 1 billion won. This year, we will further revitalize the startup ecosystem in the eastern part of Gyeonggi Province by creating tangible results.”
