
Himpel , a specialized ventilation appliance company, received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award at the '13th 2025 Korea Global Leader Selection Ceremony'. This award is given to companies that have contributed to the national economic development through innovative business operations and activities in the global market.
The 'Republic of Korea Global Leader Selection Ceremony' is an event that highlights companies that have grown into global companies through increased brand value and strategic overseas expansion. A total of 20 companies participated in this year's event, including Himpel, Carrier Air Conditioner, Genesis BBQ Group, and Alpha Group.
In addition to the Minister's Award, Himpel was also named as an excellent company in the 'Quality Innovation' category at this selection ceremony. Based on its expertise in ventilation systems, the company is expanding its export base by cooperating with about 20 overseas companies in 17 countries including Asia, Eurasia, and the Middle East. In particular, it is strengthening its competitiveness in overseas markets by focusing on high value-added products such as heat recovery ventilation systems.
A localization strategy for global expansion is also being pursued. Himpel is enhancing its overall overseas sales capabilities, including participation in joint exhibitions, local talent management, certification acquisition, construction, and A/S, and has recently been selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘World Class Plus Project Support Project’ and has begun developing products for export to Europe and Central Asia.
Himpel CEO Kim Jeong-hwan said, “This award is a recognition of Himpel’s global strategy and quality innovation efforts,” and added, “We will continue to achieve sustainable global growth based on K-Ventilation Appliances’ technological prowess.”
