– Hyundai Vendis officially introduces robot delivery… Newbility selected as partner
-Expanding services from urban delivery to industrial sites
– Accelerated commercialization of autonomous driving technology… Expected growth of domestic service robot ecosystem

Newbility (CEO Lee Sang-min), a company specializing in autonomous robots, has been selected as a partner of Hyundai Vendis, the number one mobile food ticket company, and will officially provide autonomous delivery service to LG Display’s Paju plant. Through this collaboration, the service area will be expanded beyond urban delivery to industrial sites, and the commercialization of autonomous driving technology will begin in earnest.
The service being introduced this time is linked to Hyundai Vendis' mobile meal ticket app 'Sikkwon Daejang'. When employees order drinks through the Sikkwon Daejang app, Newbility's autonomous robot 'Newbee' delivers them directly to the entrance of the work building. In particular, the combined delivery function of Sikkwon Daejang can be used to process multiple orders at once, which increases operational efficiency.
Newbee can run at a maximum speed of 7.2 km/h, and its friendly appearance with an eye-shaped LED display on the front enhances the user experience. It recognizes the surrounding environment with only cameras without lidar, and applies Newbility's proprietary technologies such as V-SLAM based on a multi-camera that supports real-time location estimation and map creation, sensor fusion, and AI object recognition to enable stable autonomous driving even in complex environments. Newbility has already been stably operating urban delivery services in Songdo, Pangyo, and Gangnam, Incheon, and has recorded a cumulative delivery performance of over 10,000 cases as of 2024.
A Hyundai Vendis official said, “As a result of operating a pilot coffee delivery service using robots at LG Display’s Paju plant in April, we confirmed the effects of notable improvements in employee satisfaction and work efficiency,” adding, “Based on these results, we decided to officially introduce the coffee delivery service and signed a formal contract with Newbility, which has both robot manufacturing and operating capabilities, to ensure stable and efficient operation.” He added, “Going forward, we plan to gradually expand our service area by cooperating with various F&B companies, such as hamburgers and sandwiches.”
Newbility CEO Lee Sang-min said, “For autonomous delivery robots to become smarter, driving experience in various environments is essential,” and added, “Starting with our collaboration with Hyundai Vendis, we will expand our services so that Newby can be used in various spaces such as hospitals, nursing homes, and schools.”
