Daejeon Innovation Center, Creative Lab Experience Program for Global Biohealth Talents

On the 18th , the Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) conducted the Daejeon Creative Lab Experience Program as part of the 'Global Biohealth Innovation Convergence University Project' jointly operated by Woosong University and Vietnam Foreign Trade University (FTU).

This visit was an international educational program designed to foster convergence-type entrepreneurial talents in the global biohealth field, and six professors and students from Vietnam FTU and seven members of Woosong University participated.

The Daejeon Innovation Center provided the participating groups with ▲a special lecture on the current status of startups in Korea, ▲an introduction to cases of technology startups in the biohealth field, and ▲a tour of the prototype production space and startup equipment in the Daejeon Creative Lab, thereby promoting a practical and integrated understanding of the domestic bio startup ecosystem.

In addition, by providing training on prototype production using major equipment within the makerspace, we guided the practical use of technological infrastructure and introduced the possibility that 3D printing technology can be expanded into personalized medical devices and healthcare auxiliary equipment in the biohealth field, thereby expanding awareness of technology-based entrepreneurship.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “It was a meaningful time for global startup talents to visit Daejeon Creative Lab and experience Korea’s startup environment and technological infrastructure,” and added, “We will continue to spare no support so that young entrepreneurs from Korea and abroad can gain practical startup experience through Daejeon Creative Lab.”
