Wise AI Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Hyeong-seok), an AI-based medical communication platform company, announced on June 20 that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Sacred Heart Dental Hospital in the United States for the joint development and supply of the 'DentOn' solution.
The purpose of this agreement is to jointly develop an AI solution that is fully integrated with the medical system in North America and to establish a bridgehead for entering the local market through this. Based on this, the two companies aim to supply an AI medical communication platform throughout North America, including the U.S. and Canada.
Through this collaboration, Wise AI plans to build an integrated solution that reflects the key requirements for advancing into North America, such as ▲technology integration with Open Dental, a major North American EMR system ▲English-based AI patient response and appointment reminder functions ▲operating system optimized for US health insurance and treatment processes ▲compliance with local medical regulations and compliance.
Open Dental, which is used at Sungsim Dental Clinic, is an electronic medical record (EMR) system widely used in the United States and Canada. Through this collaboration, Wise AI will secure the ability to fully link with major systems in the North American market. In addition, it plans to advance its natural language English communication technology based on AI to achieve practical efficiency in local patient response and reservation management.
The DentON platform is scheduled to be initially established at Seongsim Dental Hospital by the end of July, after which a full-scale expansion strategy targeting medical institutions using Open Dental in the United States will be launched.
Song Hyeong-seok, CEO of Wise AI, said, “This MOU is meaningful in that it goes beyond simple overseas expansion and secures an AI solution optimized for the North American medical system,” adding, “We plan to use this as an opportunity to accelerate our business expansion in the North American market.”
Kim Ji-soo, the director of Hawaii Sacred Heart Dental Clinic, also said, “I positively evaluate the fact that local patients in the U.S. will be able to experience Korea’s AI technology through the introduction of DentON,” and added, “We plan to actively cooperate with Wise AI’s localization experience.”
