WACKER, a global chemical company headquartered in Munich, Germany, will participate in the '2025 Ulsan Job Fair' held at Dongcheon Gymnasium in Ulsan on June 18.
This fair is hosted by Ulsan City, Busan Employment and Labor Office, Ulsan City Hall, Ulsan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, and districts and counties, and organized by Ulsan Economic Job Promotion Agency, Korea International Trade Association Ulsan Regional Headquarters, and Korea Scholarship Foundation. A total of 21 employment agencies and over 100 companies participate, and various programs such as providing recruitment information, career counseling based on personality types, resume photo shoots, and labor counseling are operated.
Wacker Chemicals has operated and continuously invested in a polymer production site in Ulsan since 2008. Ulsan is an important production base for Wacker covering the Asian market. We participated in this exhibition to secure excellent talents to strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the Ulsan site.
At this event, Barker Chemical will operate a corporate recruitment booth and provide information on △company introduction, △recruitment process, and △job information. In addition to providing guidance on recruitment positions through one-on-one consultations with HR managers, consultations will also be provided on roles in various departments and career paths.
Barker Chemical Korea operates various family-friendly systems. △2-hour half-day leave system △Children's education fund and preschool child support fund △Pregnancy congratulation welfare points △First birthday congratulation fund △Childbirth support fund, etc. are provided, and a culture is being created where male employees can also use childcare leave with peace of mind. Starting this year, the company has continuously implemented systems that allow work and family to be balanced, such as expanding the scope of support for postpartum care center costs and health checkups and psychological counseling services to include family members. In recognition of these efforts, the company received an encouragement award at the 'Work-Family Balance Best Practice Contest' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor last year, and a 'Family-Friendly Company Certification' hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Barker Chemicals is the world’s leading manufacturer of VAE (vinyl acetate ethylene) dispersions and construction polymer powders. These two products are key raw materials for improving the functionality and quality of construction materials, and as demand for high-quality, high-efficiency, and eco-friendly solutions increases in the Asian region, approximately 80% of the products produced at the Ulsan polymer plant last year were exported overseas.
