Ycomma Co., Ltd., which operates the fashion curation outlet platform ' drrip ', announced on the 24th that it was selected for the 7th 'Style Tech Promising Company Growth Support Program' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.
The Style Tech Promising Company Growth Support Program is a government project that discovers promising companies that combine artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) with information and communication technology (ICT) in the style industry, such as fashion, beauty, and living, and supports their growth. Selected companies will receive various support, such as collaboration opportunities with large and medium-sized companies, connections with professional designers, support for global expansion, and provision of space and networking.
Ycomma participates in the program through 'Drip', an outlet platform that curates and provides off-season products from fashion brands. Drip targets the 2030 generation and its core strategy is to provide new content-based value to fashion inventory products. Since its official launch in February, the platform has partnered with 140 brands and acquired 27,000 members in just four months.
Based on the Style Tech program in the future, Wycomma plans to pursue technological advancement and strengthen content capabilities, and focus on developing a fashion distribution model that can provide an alternative to the existing distribution structure.
Kim Min-geun, Chief Brand Officer (CBO) of Wicomma, said, “Drip supports the efficient circulation of brand inventory through a content-centered marketing strategy,” and “We expect that through this program, we will be able to present a new fashion commerce model that combines technology and content.”
