
WeLaser announced that it won the grand prize at the '5th E-Commerce Pitching Festa' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association (KEA) held at COEX in Seoul on the 13th.
In this competition, which was themed on discovering AI-based distribution logistics innovation technologies, 10 companies that presented distribution logistics services and solutions based on cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI and logistics automation technology advanced to the final round.
WeLaser won the Grand Prize and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for its innovative technology that automatically analyzes logistics-related documents to apply optimal agreement rates and fully automates the customs declaration process through an AI-based customs optimization service. This service dramatically improves the efficiency of customs clearance work by having AI automatically process complex HS code classification and tariff calculations.
Kim Hyun-jong, CEO of Wirazer, emphasized, “This award is recognition of the market need for AI customs optimization technology,” and “AI is automating the complex HS code classification and customs calculation that were previously processed manually with 99% accuracy, reducing customs clearance time by 85%.” He added, “In particular, we are solving the document processing burden, which has increased threefold compared to cargo volume, with our AI customs optimization service.”
Along with this grand prize, Innofriends also shared the grand prize with a smart logistics recognition solution utilizing AI-based invisible UR code technology. Sendy and Plan B were awarded the grand prize, while Kun, Lara Station, C-Life Science Lab, City K-Vision Global Networks, Outcome, and Hackle were awarded the excellence prizes.
