
SG Healthcare (CEO Kim Jeong-su), a company specializing in imaging diagnostic medical devices, announced on the 19th that it had signed a 12.6 billion won medical device supply contract with Uzbekistan.
SG Healthcare plans to supply its main products, including the surgical fluoroscopy device (FPD C-arm) 'GARION' with its own developed artificial intelligence (AI) technology, to Uzbekistan. In particular, the AI-based X-ray image quality improvement algorithm installed in 'GARION' is a technology developed in 2022 and is evaluated as an achievement that proves the company's research and development capabilities.
In order to respond to large-scale orders, the company completed the expansion of production capacity at its Icheon plant in February, securing production capacity that is more than three times higher than before.
Kim Jeong-su, CEO of SG Healthcare, said, “This large-scale project order is the first case to show the full effect of the expanded Icheon plant,” and added, “It will contribute to the modernization of healthcare in Uzbekistan and at the same time strengthen our competitiveness in the global imaging diagnostic medical equipment market.” He added, “We plan to actively participate in global bids with our full lineup, from digital X-rays to MRIs, by utilizing our overseas distribution channels established in 126 countries, and pursue revenue expansion.”
