Korea Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Technology, Evolution Signs Business Agreement

Korea Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Technology (KEVIT), an electric vehicle charging infrastructure specialist, and EV/EVSE component solution company Evolution announced on the 18th that they signed a business agreement (MOU) to advance electric vehicle charger technology.

This agreement was pursued as a strategic cooperation to improve the quality and reliability of charging infrastructure based on the technological capabilities of both companies and to build a sustainable electric vehicle charging environment. In particular, as Evolution's main technology, 'EVolaction', is applied to KEVIT's chargers, the durability and efficiency of the chargers are expected to be improved through prevention of oxidation and corrosion in the connector area.

Both companies have received the 'Hi Seoul Excellent Company' certification from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. This collaboration is attracting attention as a case of technology convergence between certified companies, and it is expected to contribute to expanding beyond Seoul and nationwide in the future, as well as laying the foundation for entering the global market.

KEVIT is installing and operating slow and fast chargers in major areas across the country, and is continuously improving user convenience and charger performance. Through this technical cooperation, the company plans to enhance the performance of key components such as connectors, thereby increasing competitiveness in public and private charging infrastructure construction projects.

Oh Se-young, CEO of KEVIT, said, “Charging quality and maintenance efficiency are key elements of operating electric vehicle chargers,” and added, “Through this collaboration, we will increase technological perfection and contribute to improving user satisfaction and securing the stability of charging infrastructure.”

Cho Hyun-min, CEO of Evolution, said, “The reliability of EV chargers is a factor directly related to the expansion of electric vehicle distribution,” and added, “Through cooperation with KEVIT, we will improve the quality of the overall charging environment and present a new standard for the EV charging ecosystem through continuous technological development.”
