Korea Institute for Gender Equality Education Promotion and Korea Women Certified Public Accountants Association Signs Business Agreement

The Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on Tuesday, June 17 that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korean Association of Certified Public Accountants to establish a culture of gender equality and spread awareness of violence prevention.

This agreement was created with the purpose of promoting the discovery of female talent and the establishment of a culture of gender equality in the accounting industry based on the expertise and human and material resources of both organizations, and promoting joint activities to raise awareness of violence prevention.

The main contents of the agreement include ▲cooperation in education and exchanges to improve gender awareness ▲cooperation to discover female talent and expand representation ▲joint promotion to spread awareness of gender equality and violence prevention ▲other matters related to mutual business support and promotion of cooperation.

Kim Sam-hwa, the president of the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, said, “This agreement will be a meaningful opportunity to increase women’s representation in the accounting industry and create a gender-equal organizational culture,” and added, “We will continue to work to spread a gender-equal culture throughout society through collaboration with various fields.”
