Babaground Co., Ltd., which operates the local professional online travel agency (OTA) platform ' Nollunbeop ', announced on the 17th that it has been finally selected for the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund's startup incubation program 'Little Penguin'. Accordingly, it will receive various customized growth support such as mentoring and investment linkage along with financial support of up to 1.2 billion won over the next three years.

'Little Penguin' is an intensive nurturing program operated by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund for promising startups within 7 years of establishment. Babaground has been selected for the startup nurturing platform 'Start-up Nest', the residency program 'Front-Nest', and the 'Step Up Challenge Program', and through this selection for 'Little Penguin', it has gradually stepped into Shinbo's main startup support tracks.

With this selection, Babaground is evaluated to have secured the possibility of entering the 'First Penguin' track worth up to 4 billion won and the 'Pre-ICON' track worth up to 7 billion won in the future, thereby laying the foundation for mid- to long-term growth.

Through this program, Babaground will begin developing an AI-based product planning automation system. The system will be designed to automate processes such as product planning, price calculation, and detailed page creation by linking farm information, public data, and local tourism and cultural content.

In addition, we plan to expand overseas linkages of domestic local travel products and strengthen global distribution channels for Korean rural content through partnerships with overseas OTA platforms such as Trip.com, KKday, Klook, and Rakuten Travel.

Heo Jeong, CEO of Babaground, said, “This selection of ‘Little Penguin’ is an important opportunity to simultaneously pursue AI technology advancement and global expansion,” and added, “We will continue to increase the value of regions through the digitalization of local Korean content and expand this to domestic and international markets.”
