Himpel, '2025 World Class Plus Project' Final Selection

Himpel , a ventilation appliance specialist, has been selected for the '2025 World Class Plus Project' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Himpel received the certificate of selection at the '2025 World Class Plus Project Candidate Selection Ceremony' held at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul on the 10th. Through this project, Himpel plans to carry out the development task of 'autonomous driving-based indoor environment control technology and ultra-high-performance clean health ventilation system'. In particular, it plans to develop an export-only HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) product targeting the European and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) markets, thereby securing technological competitiveness in the field of high-efficiency system ventilation devices and expanding its presence in overseas markets.

The 'World Class Plus Project' is a government-supported project to foster mid-sized or potential mid-sized companies with technological prowess and growth potential into globally competitive companies. Selected companies will be provided with a comprehensive package of support including four years of research and development funding, as well as financial, export, legal, and management consulting.

This selection includes 10 companies that meet the criteria of sales of 70 billion won to less than 1 trillion won, export ratio of less than 50%, and annual average R&D investment ratio of 1% or more. Including Himpel, Witz, Jeil Polishing Industry, Seohan Innovation, Deokil Industry, H Energy, Daewon Pharmaceutical, KSM Component, DS Techno, and Yulchon Chemical were selected.

A Himpel official said, “Through this project, we will develop HRV products with both radiant and sensible heating structures and European certification to respond to global demand,” adding, “We will establish a global business structure that encompasses market strategy, product localization, construction, and AS systems to grow into a world-class ventilation appliance company.”
