Global engineering simulation company ANSYS Korea announced on June 19 that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (KICOX) and the Korea University of Engineering and Technology Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (TUKOREA IACF) to operate the ‘Process Innovation Simulation Center.’
This agreement was promoted for the purpose of supporting process improvement and product development efficiency enhancement for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the Banwol-Sihwa Smart Green Industrial Complex and promoting digital transformation.
According to the agreement, the three organizations will pursue multifaceted cooperation to enhance the technological competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies through ▲provision of customized simulation software for small and medium-sized enterprises and support for its use, ▲verification and technology consulting for process optimization and product development, ▲operation of simulation-based education programs, ▲exchange of professional personnel and sharing of best practices, etc.
Based on its global-level simulation technology and industry-specific expertise, ANSYS Korea plans to expand its support to solve technical challenges occurring in actual manufacturing sites and enable domestic small and medium-sized enterprises to effectively respond to the smart manufacturing environment.
The company said, “Through this agreement, we will continue to make practical contributions so that manufacturing innovation based on digital technology can spread to small and medium-sized enterprises in local industrial complexes.”
