Korea Startup Forum (hereinafter referred to as KOSPO) announced on the 12th that it will hold 'BUSAN Slush'D 2025' on the Panstar Miracle ship departing from Busan Port from July 26th to 27th.
'Busan Slushid' is the official Korean spin-off of the Finnish startup event 'Slush', and is a local startup festival planned and operated by Cospo. This event, now in its third year, is planned as the first startup event held on a ship in Korea, and aims for high-density exchange and immersive networking among participants.
Under the theme of 'BUSAN Slush'D at Sea: That Night, We Really Connected', this event will avoid formal presentation-centered conferences and instead focus on genuine conversations and interactions between founders and investors. The plan is to use the entire space of the Panstar Miracle as an event venue to increase the connectivity between programs and participant engagement. Approximately 180 people including startups, venture capitalists (VCs), prospective founders, and sponsors are expected to participate.
The main programs of the event consist of ▲emotional opening session 'Slush'D Talk' ▲exploratory and 1:1 matching networking 'Slush'D Meet' ▲Busan-Ulsan regional startup pitching 'Slush'D 10' ▲university student and prospective entrepreneur participation program 'Slush'D Youth' ▲exchange-oriented 'Slush'D Night', etc.
In particular, the recruitment for 'Slushid 10', which selects 10 promising local startup teams, will be held through the Slushid official website until June 25th, and the selected teams will be provided with opportunities to participate in events, networking programs, and qualifications as regular members of Cospo. The excellent team finally selected will be awarded a prize of 3 million won.
Han Sang-woo, chairman of the Korea Startup Forum, said, “Busan Slushid is a place that seeks to organically connect the entire startup ecosystem beyond a simple pitching or exhibition event,” adding, “This year, we hope to use the differentiated space of a ship to inform the world of the potential of the local startup ecosystem, and to lead to opportunities for practical global expansion.”
