Freewillin's 'Pulischool', Gyeongnam Office of Education's 'iTalkTalk' linked AI math education service final selection

Edtech company Freewillin announced on the 12th that its artificial intelligence (AI) math courseware 'Polyschool' was finally selected as the AI math education service linked with the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education's digital learning platform 'iTalkTalk'.

This selection is the second case of public education cooperation following the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and was promoted as part of efforts to expand collaboration between edtech companies and education offices.

'I-TalkTalk' is a customized learning platform for students built by the Gyeongnam Office of Education, and has approximately 300,000 educational contents and over 7 terabytes (TB) of learning data. An average of 30,000 users access it daily, and it is used to support students' self-directed learning and teachers' lesson design.

The introduction of 'Pulischool' was carried out with the goal of eliminating the gap in mathematics learning and ensuring basic academic ability for middle and high school students, and the Gyeongnam Office of Education expanded the target of utilization to elementary schools so that it can be used free of charge for all grades. This selection was the result of a comprehensive evaluation of content quality, functional effectiveness, and teacher convenience, and it was evaluated as the only software that met the criteria in all items.

Fully School provides over 30,000 questions per grade based on over 800,000 contents, and has functions such as curriculum-based achievement analysis, level-based recommended learning, and provision of supplementary materials based on incorrect answers. Teachers can create customized materials for students with one click, so it is evaluated as easy to apply in the classroom.

Gyeongnam Office of Education conducted training for approximately 900 elementary, middle, and high school teachers at the Future Education Center on May 27-28 before introducing the full-scale service. In a satisfaction survey conducted after the training, more than 90% of respondents answered that they were ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied.’

Jang Yoon-jeong, head of the Future Planning Department at the Future Education Institute of Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, said, “Pool School is a learning tool that can help students who have difficulty learning math,” and added, “We expect it to have a positive effect on strengthening teachers’ teaching skills and reducing their workload.”

“This collaboration could become a representative example of AI-based math learning services in public education,” said Freewillin CEO Kwon Ki-seong. “We will expand cooperation with other provincial offices of education and educational institutions in the future to contribute to the digital transformation of public education.”
