
Tool Space , a company specializing in AI autonomous driving patrol robots, announced on the 12th that it has been selected as an official partner of the global collaboration program 'COINS (Co-Innovation Space)' of semiconductor company Infineon Technologies.
COINS is a global open innovation program in which Infineon discovers startups with technological capabilities and supports joint technology development and market expansion. Selected companies are provided with various forms of cooperation, including advanced technology support, provision of samples and equipment, joint marketing, and global network connections.
Tool Space is a company that possesses AI-based autonomous patrol robot technology. It has developed solutions that can detect various emergency situations in real time, such as falls, fires, abnormal noises, gas leaks, and intruder detection, and is applying them to many operational sites. This partnership was formed based on such technological prowess and commercialization achievements.
Through this collaboration, Tool Space plans to apply Infineon’s semiconductor solutions to its patrol robot platform to enhance its technological perfection in terms of sensing performance, energy efficiency, and durability. In particular, the two companies plan to jointly develop a demo unit for performance verification in harsh environments and expand its applicability in the global market.
Tool Space CEO Kim Jin-hyo said, “Through our partnership with Infineon, we expect to not only advance the technology of autonomous patrol robots but also strengthen our foundation for advancing into overseas markets,” adding, “We will work to ensure that our continued cooperation leads to tangible results.”
