Alchera announced that it will begin a full-scale demonstration project for a senior healthcare data platform utilizing artificial intelligence technology together with senior healthcare startup Bayer (byL).
This demonstration project aims to build a platform that can collect and analyze data in real time in various areas, such as the physical and health status, mental health, daily behavior patterns, nutritional status, and cognitive functions of the elderly. Through this, the plan is to move away from the subjective observation method centered on existing caregivers and promote a shift to a quantitative customized care system based on data.
Through this project, Alchera and Bayer will implement a smart care system that can predict and manage major risk factors such as falls, cognitive decline, and emotional isolation in advance, and will also explore related health content development and medical/welfare linkage measures.
The platform construction will be completed within this year, and commercialization of customized AI care services and data commercialization based on the collected data will begin in earnest from 2026. In addition, plans are being made to apply the technology to public care projects and enter the global market in the future.
The demonstration project combines Alchera’s AI-based facial recognition and abnormal situation detection technology with Bayer’s senior care operation infrastructure. The two companies believe that this will simultaneously secure the effectiveness and field applicability of the technology.
Alchera CEO Hwang Young-gyu said, “Considering the domestic situation where we have entered a super-aging society, data-based AI senior care is becoming an important task,” and “Through this demonstration project, we plan to expand cooperation with public institutions and local governments and promote the expansion of AI care services nationwide.”
