ConnectingTheDots Acquires Visiting Pet Sitter Platform ‘DogMate’

Connecting the Dots, an edutech and care service company, announced on the 10th that it is acquiring the domestic visiting pet sitter platform 'Dogmate' and will begin building an integrated care ecosystem tailored to the life cycle of family members from infants and toddlers to companion animals and seniors.

Since its establishment in 2015, Dogmate has provided over 150,000 home visit care services to over 36,000 pets, making it Korea’s leading pet sitter matching platform. It has secured high customer satisfaction and trust through differentiated services such as connecting professional pet sitters, providing care videos, and behavior correction.

Connecting the Dots is expanding its business to the pet sector based on its online and offline operational capabilities accumulated through the infant/toddler home care platform ‘Jjakgak Crocodile’ and the experiential play space ‘Jjakgak Island’. Through this acquisition, it plans to enhance its pet home care service centered around Dogmate and introduce the industry’s first hybrid pet care model that connects home pet sitter services with its own offline facilities.

Connecting the Dots expects various synergies through this acquisition, including ▲providing an integrated, customized care experience through platform linkage ▲strengthening the expertise of pet sitters and establishing an education system ▲expanding employment of local talent such as women who have taken a break from their careers ▲realizing social value through life respect education for children.

CEO Kim Hee-jung said, “We will go beyond the era where children, pets, and seniors received care in their own separate areas and implement an integrated care platform for the entire family,” adding, “Through the acquisition of Dogmate, we will raise the standard of trust in the pet care industry and lead the future of care.”
