Kakao Ventures-Xsquared, Seed Investment in Home & Co.

Home&Co, which operates the space maintenance service 'Homeco', announced on the 10th that it has attracted 700 million won in seed investment from Kakao Ventures and Xsquared.

Homeco is an online platform that simplifies the home repair process. When a user requests a repair, an expert visits the site to inspect it and provides an estimate based on the industry’s first standard price system. This simplifies the previously complicated repair process. In addition, it uses consultation and construction history data to increase the efficiency of the construction process.

Home & Co. is simultaneously improving the efficiency of customer service and professional work based on direct technician operation and data-based solutions. Customer response, material management, and promotion are all handled digitally, and it is showing rapid growth, recording an average of 100 repair requests per month within 6 months of launch and 1 out of 6 people using it again.

With this investment, Home & Co. plans to hire key talents in customer experience (CX) and offline sales, as well as improve service quality. In the future, it plans to gradually expand its service areas to include not only old house repairs, but also building materials distribution, real estate management, and building management solutions.

Kakao Ventures Senior Reviewer Hyunik Cho said, “Home & Co. is a team with outstanding capabilities to quickly identify customer issues on-site and turn them into action,” adding, “We expect them to lead structural innovation in the space maintenance industry.”

“Our goal is to provide a reliable repair experience and create a service standard that can be used repeatedly,” said Home & Co. co-CEOs Ryu Ji-ho and Kook Hyung-joo. “We will continue to innovate by defining and solving problems in the market.”
