AP Green selected for '2025 Preliminary Hydrogen Specialist Company Support Project'

APGreen, an eco-friendly hydrogen production technology startup, announced that it has been officially selected as a '2025 Preliminary Hydrogen Specialist Company' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Jeollabuk-do Province.

Through this project, APGreen will fully promote the verification and commercialization of its independently developed partial oxidation (POX)-based hydrogen extractor. The system is a technology that can produce hydrogen directly on-site from various carbon-based fuels such as biogas and LPG under low-power conditions without using water, and has secured innovation in terms of facility costs, operating costs, and carbon emissions compared to existing water electrolysis or SMR methods. The verification facility is currently scheduled to be operational in the second half of the year, and based on this data, a commercialization model that can be applied to distributed infrastructure such as hydrogen charging stations, fuel cell power plants, and biogas treatment facilities is scheduled to be developed.

Through this, AP Green plans to simultaneously establish a foundation for entering domestic and international procurement markets and global expansion. The preliminary hydrogen specialized company support project is one of the government's key policies to discover technology-based hydrogen companies early and promote their growth. The selected companies will establish a foundation for transitioning into hydrogen specialized companies and entering the global market through various follow-up linkage programs such as verification, market development, and certification.

An AP Green official said, “This selection is official recognition of AP Green’s technological prowess and market expansion potential,” adding, “We will strengthen domestic and international partnerships while securing trust based on empirical data to establish ourselves as a representative execution company in the hydrogen industry.”
