BHI signs contract to supply Shinhanul Units 3 and 4 with multiple reactors

BHI announced on the 5th through a public notice that it had signed a contract with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) worth 46.83 billion won to supply condensers for Shinhanul Units 3 and 4.

BHI was selected as a supplier in the highly competitive multiple unit field in recognition of its excellent design and manufacturing capabilities, global export performance, price competitiveness, and high-level quality assurance system.

With this supply contract, BHI has further enhanced its competitiveness in the condenser market. After participating in the production of the condensers for Shinwolseong Units 1 and 2 in Korea, BHI has been securing many global references, including successfully exporting condensers to Vogtle Units 3 and 4 and Summer Units 2 and 3 in the United States.

BHI is a domestic nuclear power plant auxiliary equipment manufacturer with a large product portfolio. Han Je-yoon, a researcher at KB Securities, said, “BHI is the only domestic company, excluding Doosan Energy, that can supply auxiliary equipment for Line 1, and it is a company that has proven its strengths in terms of delivery time and unit price through various references.”

A BHI official said, “The order to power Shinhanul Units 3 and 4 is a comprehensive demonstration of our technological prowess and delivery capabilities,” adding, “We will continue to develop technologies and win orders in various energy infrastructure areas, including not only large-scale nuclear power plants but also SMR (small modular reactors), LNG combined cycle power plants, ammonia co-firing, and green hydrogen, and continue to grow in domestic and international markets.”
