
PropFinTech company DevD Co., Ltd. announced on the 5th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Gwangju Metropolitan City to foster an artificial intelligence industry ecosystem. This agreement is part of a strategic collaboration to promote digital transformation in the housing finance sector based on artificial intelligence technology and expand it nationwide, starting from Gwangju.
Devdi operates a comprehensive housing management platform, 'ZIPUP', and a monthly rent card payment solution, 'ZIPUP PAY', and approximately 40,000 users are using the services. In particular, 'ZIPUP PAY' is pursuing differentiation in housing finance services through the industry's lowest commissions, tax deduction processing functions, and partnerships with financial institutions.
Through this agreement, Devdi will play a role in developing AI-based housing payment and fintech services, fostering talent in the Gwangju area, and providing technical and policy advice. Gwangju Metropolitan City plans to support Devdi’s advancement into the region by operating corporate support programs to foster an AI industry ecosystem, fostering professional personnel, and providing employment-related programs.
The two parties plan to advance the technology of Job Pay based on Gwangju Metropolitan City’s AI data center and verification infrastructure, while also conducting a verification (PoC) of a housing cost payment model linked to local currency within this year. The model is attracting attention as a way to simultaneously promote local economic activation and ease the burden of housing costs for young people.
Devdi said that this agreement has laid the foundation for nationwide expansion based on regional specialized services, and plans to expand related cooperation with the goal of continuous innovation in the prop fintech ecosystem and contribution to the regional economy.
