Green Base and Ion Earth Sign Business Agreement

Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) announced on the 5th that Green Base and Ion Earth, the center's investment companies, signed a business agreement (MOU) to build an artificial intelligence-based mobile ESS (energy storage system) operation management system.

Greenbase is a company that develops performance diagnosis, safety evaluation, and life prediction solutions for large-capacity batteries, and Ion Earth is an energy mobility company that possesses the ‘Indigo’ technology that replaces diesel generators with mobile ESS. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated management system that can improve the operational efficiency and stability of mobile ESS by combining their respective technologies.

As part of this collaboration, Greenbase will expand the application of its own PMS/EMS (power and energy management system) technology and electric vehicle battery evaluation and diagnosis technology to the mobile ESS sector. In particular, it plans to install an AI algorithm that can predict failure signs, fire risks, and battery aging in real time, enabling more precise and predictive ESS operation.

Ion Earth will build a data collection infrastructure within the mobile ESS system and design a system that enables AI analysis of the collected big data. Through this, the two companies will cooperate to implement advanced ESS status diagnosis and preventive maintenance based on real-time operating data.

“We have decided to pursue strategic technological cooperation in order to provide more efficient and safe energy services to electric vehicle and ESS users,” said Heo Eun, CEO of Ion Earth. “Our cooperation with Green Base will serve as the foundation for expanding the energy mobility market.”

Yang Shin-hyun, CEO of Greenbase, said, “Through this joint development, we will strengthen our technological edge in the field of ESS-related evaluation and diagnosis and secure differentiated operation management solutions.”
