The Japan Information Technology Exchange (JIET) is the largest IT organization in Japan and is actively expanding its global business, focusing on the Asian market. Since signing a business agreement (MOU) with KOSA in 2018, the two countries have been co-hosting exchange meetings every year.
This exchange was held with 'Artificial Intelligence (AI)' and 'Digital Transformation (DX)' as the main topics. At the opening ceremony, key figures from both organizations, including KOSA Vice Chairman Seong-il Seo and JIET Director Ryu-suke Iwashita, attended and delivered welcoming speeches to each other, emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation in response to the AI era.
In the corporate introduction sessions and networking sessions that followed, representatives from each company presented their key technologies and solutions and explored possibilities for collaboration through one-on-one business matching meetings in various technology fields such as chatbots, hardware-based SW, and generative AI avatars.
KOSA Vice Chairman Seo Seong-il said, “In the era of AI-centered digital transformation, cooperation between Korea and Japan is an essential element in securing the ethics and sustainability of the technology ecosystem,” and added, “It is important to expand exchanges centered on practical results such as policy cooperation, joint research, and technological collaboration between companies.”
