Mobility platform company T-Money Mobility Co., Ltd. has obtained ‘Level 1’ certification in the global payment security standard, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) 4.0 version.
PCI-DSS is a payment data security standard jointly established by major global card companies such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, and Discover, and is an international certification system that evaluates the ability to safely process and store card user information. Among them, Level 1 is awarded only to companies that meet the highest security requirements.
The PCI-DSS 4.0 version acquired by T-money Mobility is a revised version to respond to the latest cyber threats and industrial changes, and must pass an examination spanning a total of 12 categories and approximately 460 items, including ▲network protection system, ▲card information encryption and storage method, ▲access authority control, ▲vulnerability response and threat management, ▲continuous monitoring, and ▲security policy operation.
The company said that through this certification, it has proven that sensitive information generated during customer reservations and payment processes is managed in a top-level security environment.
Timoney Mobility CEO Cho Dong-wook said, “We have proven the reliability and safety of our system through global security certification,” and added, “We will continue to prioritize the protection of customer information and continuously strengthen our technological capabilities and security level.”
