On the 26th of last month, Vichedam Co., Ltd., a natural product-based pharmaceutical development company, participated in the '2025 Agricultural and Food Technology Investment Roadshow' held at Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan-gu, Seoul and unveiled its first health functional food prototype.
Bichedam Co., Ltd. is a bio startup that focuses on developing degenerative disease treatments and health functional foods using herbal ingredients. At this event, the company introduced a prototype of a liquid health functional food that can help relieve lower extremity muscle cramps and improve blood circulation during sleep.
The product was developed by applying the ROCK (Rho-associated protein kinase) inhibitor mechanism based on herbal ingredients, which is the core technology of Bichedam Co., Ltd., and focused on improving safety and ease of use so that it is suitable for long-term use by elderly patients. The product is currently undergoing final quality verification and certification procedures with the goal of launching in August.
At the event, Bichedam Co., Ltd. introduced its technological prowess and development achievements to attendees including Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Song Mei-ling, and shared its vision for solving the problem of degenerative diseases that are on the rise in an aging society.
Moon Ho-bin, CEO of Bichedam Co., Ltd., said, “We were able to confirm the industry’s high interest in herbal medicine ingredient-based technology,” and added, “We will accelerate product launches and business expansion so that we can pioneer a new category in the health functional food market.”
