HBsmith, a startup developing AI-based QA test automation solutions, announced on the 2nd that it has advanced to the final round of the '2025 Samsung Finance C-Lab Outside' program.
'Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside' is an open innovation program jointly operated by Samsung Financial affiliates such as Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Card, and Samsung Securities, and Samsung Venture Investment. Its goal is to experiment with innovative technologies within the financial industry and verify their commercial viability through collaboration.
A total of 368 startups applied for this year's program, of which 16 were selected to advance to the finals. HBSmith, in collaboration with Samsung Securities, proposed an AI-based QA test automation solution that meets the Financial Supervisory Service's digital service quality management guidelines, earning its spot in the finals.
HBSmith's proprietary platform, "DeepQA," provides automated testing capabilities based on user scenarios for financial services. It also enhances quality management efficiency through AI-based test agents that can replace repetitive QA tasks. In particular, it received high praise for meeting verification criteria such as consistency, reliability, and security required by the Financial Supervisory Service's recently revised digital service quality management standards.
Jong-won Han, CEO of HBSmith, said, “We are delighted to have this opportunity to collaborate with Samsung Securities to realize the digital transformation of the financial QA testing environment. We will strive to systematically verify the quality of financial services through test automation utilizing AI technology, ultimately contributing to the protection of financial consumers.”
