
Lighting specialist Kumho Electric Co., Ltd. announced that it attended the 'UAS EXPO 2025' held in Shenzhen, China from May 23 to 25 to learn about the latest drone technology and industry trends and held practical discussions with major parts manufacturers.
The 'UAS EXPO', now in its 12th year, is Asia's largest drone and avionics exhibition, with over 500 companies from over 30 countries participating. A variety of core components and solutions were unveiled, including industrial drones, logistics and delivery drones, multicopters, GPS modules, sensors, ESCs (electronic speed control), communication modules, and batteries.
Through this visit, Kumho Electric Co., Ltd. closely analyzed the technological level and global trends of electronic components and raw materials used in industrial drones, and networked with major component manufacturers to establish a foundation for diversifying suppliers and technological cooperation. In particular, the possibility of collaboration with lightweight structure manufacturers and high-power battery companies was also discussed, and it is expected to contribute to stabilizing the supply chain linked to the domestic production system in the future.
A company official said, “This exhibition was an opportunity to understand the direction of development of drone technology and the flow of the global parts market, and we were also able to establish a practical business foundation through consultations with local companies.” He added, “We plan to focus on concretizing strategies for future drone production and related parts development and securing supply chain stability.”
