
The Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education announced that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Korea Electric Power Corporation to spread a culture of gender equality and violence prevention.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in various areas, including: △cooperation in education to spread awareness of gender equality and violence prevention, △cooperation in education and exchanges to improve gender awareness, △cooperation in related promotional activities, △promotion of joint projects to discover female talent and increase representation, and △other mutual support for work.
Through this agreement, both organizations expect to contribute to raising awareness of gender equality and strengthening violence prevention capabilities within the organization, while also creating synergy in terms of ESG (environment, society, and governance) management practices and fulfillment of social responsibility.
Kim Sam-hwa, the director of the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, said, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to promote the establishment of a gender equality organizational culture and the spread of a violence prevention culture through cooperation between public institutions,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen ties with public institutions and contribute to improving awareness throughout society.”
