Almek Signs 190 Billion Won Parts Supply Contract with US Global Automaker

Almec (CEO Shin Sang-ho), a global electric vehicle aluminum parts specialist, announced on the 30th that it had signed a parts supply contract worth 190 billion won with a global American automaker.

This contract is scheduled to be completed for production this year and delivered over a period of five years until 2030, based on confirmed product orders starting early next year. The product order amount is based on the current scheduled quantity and may change in the future.

With this, Almec has expanded its overseas market portfolio and secured additional growth momentum. It is evaluated that the company has once again proven its technological prowess by obtaining confirmation of delivery through a strict verification process.

In particular, as orders from global automakers in the US increased amid the Trump administration's tariff policy, Almec's expected effects and technological prowess from operating its local US plant were recognized, and it secured additional growth momentum and an expanded overseas market portfolio.

Last year, Almec's overseas business sales amounted to KRW 113.4 billion, accounting for 72.3% of total sales, and this year, it is expected to continue to grow, centered on North America, starting with new contracts.

An Almek official said, “Due to a confidentiality agreement with the client, the customer name and parts name cannot be disclosed.”

In addition, “We expect that there will be significant changes in the industry’s supply chain due to the recent Trump tariff policy, so we are reorganizing the supply chain around companies that can produce high-difficulty products at high yields,” he said.

Almec's main business is developing and producing products exclusively for electric vehicles, including secondary battery module cases, battery pack frames, electric vehicle platform frames, and related parts.
