Oneline AI (CEO Jeong Han-eol, hereinafter referred to as Oneline AI), a company specializing in generative financial AI solutions, announced on the 30th that the paper "Won: Establishing Best Practices for Korean Financial NLP," which introduces the financial language model "FinKRX" jointly developed with the Korea Exchange (KRX), has been officially published in the world-renowned natural language processing society ACL (Association for Computational Linguistics) 2025. This is the first time that a Korean financial language model has been officially introduced on an international academic stage, and is raising expectations for future research and application possibilities in the fields of AI and financial technology at home and abroad.
The FinKRX model is the output of the 'KRX Financial Language Model Performance Evaluation Competition' held in 2024, which is the first open LLM evaluation leaderboard and model evaluation competition in the financial field in Korea. The competition, which lasted about two months, recorded high interest and participation both domestically and internationally, with a whopping 233 teams participating and submitting a total of 1,119 models. Oneline AI, together with the Korea Exchange, took charge of the entire operation of the competition and the evaluation method.
The FinKRX model utilized approximately 86,000 high-quality Korean financial data sets that were selected through deduplication and quality inspection among a total of more than 200,000 financial data sets that were mainly used during the competition. Data integrity and accuracy were secured through LLM-as-a-Judge, an automatic verification system for data quality management. The basic financial inference ability of the model was strengthened by using the Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) learning methods, and the response quality of the model was also further refined.
Based on this achievement, OneLine AI will focus more on enhancing the global competitiveness of its financial language model and expanding the use of AI in the global financial market.
Meanwhile, OneLine AI has been recognized for its business potential as a financially-creating AI by being consecutively selected for IBK Industrial Bank's startup incubation platform 'IBK Changgong (創工) Guro 13th' and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund's startup incubation platform 'Start-up NEST 17th'.
