
Bitsensing , a radar-based smart transportation solution company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IKIO Technologies, an Indian smart infrastructure company, to supply Indian highway and urban traffic monitoring solutions. The agreement was signed on the 29th at the 20th Suwon ITS Asia Pacific General Assembly held in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
Through this agreement, Bitsensing plans to gradually introduce its AI-based traffic monitoring solution in major cities including the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Lucknow.
TIMOS, a traffic detection solution provided by Bitsensing, is a system that integrates radar, camera, and edge AI technologies and can detect up to 256 vehicles in up to 12 lanes simultaneously. The system can precisely analyze traffic volume, vehicle speed, traffic patterns, accidents, and violations of traffic laws.
In addition, Bitsensing’s AI-based software solution TraXight provides functions that can be utilized for traffic flow analysis, simulation, and traffic policy establishment based on data collected from TIMOS. This enables more efficient traffic management and response to emergencies.
IKIO Technologies is a company that provides solutions in various areas such as energy efficient lighting, smart infrastructure, and intelligent transportation systems in India. IKIO, which is pursuing smart city and digital infrastructure expansion, plans to localize Bitsensing’s technology through this collaboration and explore global market entry by utilizing its manufacturing base in India.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, ITS Korea, ITS India, Korea Expressway Corporation, and other related organizations including the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement.
“Through this collaboration, we have laid the foundation for technologies that have been verified in the Korean and European markets to be applied to the Indian market,” said Lee Jae-eun, CEO of Bitsensing. “We will continue to expand our partnership to digitize India’s transportation system.”
