Genolution X Kyungnong Sign MOU for 'Development of Next-Generation Crop Protection Agent Based on dsRNA'

Green bio specialist company Jenolution Co., Ltd. announced on the 29th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the development of next-generation crop protection agents based on dsRNA with agricultural total solution company Kyungnong Co., Ltd. at its Songdo office building in Incheon on May 28th.

This agreement aims to commercialize an eco-friendly and high value-added crop protection agent by utilizing RNA interference (RNAi) technology, which is leading the global agricultural trend. Genolution will supply key raw materials by utilizing its own dsRNA synthesis and analysis technology, and Kyungnong will promote product development through verification and field application research, including industrialization technology research.

On this day, the signing ceremony was attended by Vice President Jang Seong-sik, head of the R&D headquarters of Gyeongnong, and key executives, as well as Vice President Kim Sang-hoon and Research Institute Director Kim Min-i of Genolution, who formalized the strategic cooperation between the two companies.

With this agreement as an opportunity, the two companies plan to gradually promote various collaborative projects, including ▲ commercialization of dsRNA-based crop protection agents, ▲ joint use of technology and research infrastructure, and ▲ global commercialization of joint research results.
