Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Additional Announcement of 2025 Hope Return Package

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced on the 29th that it will be implementing the '2025 Hope Return Package (One-Stop Business Closure Support, Restart Business)' notice, which includes additional support reflecting the 2025 supplementary budget of KRW 49.4 billion and support for those who registered for the New Start Fund public information.

The Hope Return Package is a project that reduces the burden of closure for small business owners who have closed or are planning to close their businesses, and provides support in the form of a package from closure to employment and commercialization to enable a quick recovery.

First, this additional budget will provide additional support for 10,000 stores for demolition and 250 stores for re-business, and the details are as follows.

▲(One-stop business closure support – store demolition costs) Store demolition cost support is a project that provides demolition costs of up to 4 million won to ease the burden of business closure for small business owners. In addition to the existing announcement that provided support for 30,000 companies, 10,000 companies will be added, and a total of 40,000 small business owners will be supported.

▲(Re-business revitalization-management improvement/re-establishment) Re-business revitalization is a business that provides big data-based management diagnosis, 1:1 in-depth mentoring support (10 sessions) from a dedicated professional (PM), and up to 20 million won in business revitalization funds to small business owners who are experiencing a management crisis or have closed down. 250 small business companies will be recruited through this additional announcement.

Next, we will recruit 100 small business enterprises through the ‘New Start Fund Linkage Support for Re-Business (Re-establishment)’ announcement.

The support target is 'small business owners registered with public information (new start fund debt adjustment information)' who had difficulty participating in the revitalization project due to financial transaction restrictions, etc. As with the existing revitalization project, business participants will be supported with management diagnosis, 1:1 dedicated experts (PMs), etc., and up to 10 million won in commercialization funds will be provided.

In addition, small business owners who have successfully completed their business (re-established a business) can immediately have their registered public information (debt adjustment information) cancelled by submitting a certificate of completion (within 1 month) issued upon completion of the business to the New Start Fund.

Hwang Young-ho, head of the Small Business Management Stability Support Team, said, “I hope that this additional support and support for those registering public information will serve as a foundation for small business owners who have not been able to receive benefits to overcome the crisis and make a stable leap forward.”
