
Suwon Resources Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Haesung Optics (CEO Cho Chul), a camera actuator specialist, announced on the 27th that it was finally selected for the Ministry of Environment's 'Green New Industry Commercialization Support Project.'
Through this, Suwon Resources Technology Co., Ltd. has once again proven its technological leadership in the smart water management market. This project, with the theme of 'Performance Improvement and Commercialization of Long-Distance Transportable Integrated Precision Diagnostic Equipment for Smart Water Management', has secured up to KRW 600 million in government subsidies for commercialization by November of next year.
Through this project, Suwon Resources Technology Co., Ltd. will advance the core technology of its flagship equipment, SUMIRE. SUMIRE is a smart diagnostic solution that can simultaneously perform leak detection, location information acquisition, and internal imaging diagnosis of underground water pipes. Its special feature is that it can analyze the inside of the pipe in real time without water interruption.
Through this project, Suwon Technology Co., Ltd. plans to significantly improve functions such as cable weight reduction and durability enhancement, integrated software advancement and diagnostic accuracy improvement, location exploration module and receiving system improvement, and camera performance enhancement. In addition, these technologies will be commercialized so that they can be applied to public institutions and industries in the future after receiving integrated system certification.
The Ministry of Environment's Green New Industry Commercialization Support Project is one of the key policies that supports small and medium-sized environmental enterprises with the goal of market entry and sales expansion in the green new industry sector. Through this selection of water resources technology, the ESG-based growth strategy of the entire Haesung Optics Group is also becoming visible.
A water resources technology official said, “We will use this project as an opportunity to advance smart water management equipment and accelerate our entry into the domestic and international environmental infrastructure markets.”
