Argos Selects Promising Startups for 'Global Corporate Collaboration Program'

ARGOS Identity (CEO Wonkyu Lee), an AI-based identity platform company, has been selected for the '2025 Global Corporate Collaboration Program' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The program, now in its 7th year, is a public-private collaborative startup support project that selects and supports promising startups together with 13 global leading companies, including Google Play, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Dassault Systèmes, Ansys Korea, Siemens, Amazon Web Services, Oracle, IBM, Intel, Thales, L'Oréal Korea, and Air Liquide.

The 'Global Enterprise Collaboration Program' is a project created by global technology companies and the government to expand the global market entry and growth opportunities of startups. Starting with one Google Play company in 2019, the number of participating companies and startups has increased every year, and this year, 13 global companies and 363 startups will participate, the largest number since its establishment.

The selected startups will receive a common maximum of 200 million won in commercialization funds from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as well as support from professional technology consulting, education, networking, and overseas market development programs designed directly by global companies. Through this, participating startups will not only strengthen their technological capabilities but also gain opportunities for global expansion.

With this selection, Argos plans to accelerate the global expansion of its core product, AI-based non-face-to-face identity authentication solution 'ID check'. 'ID check' is an authentication service that integrates multiple functions such as ID recognition, facial recognition, liveness detection, and duplicate user detection, and is being used in various fields such as global games, blockchain, fintech, and community platforms.

Argos already holds a patent related to the 'User Authentication Method for Automating eKYC' and is meeting the diverse needs of global customers with a high accuracy of 99.9% and a flexible introduction structure in the form of API-based SaaS.

In addition, as the need for enhanced security in various authentication methods is increasing, Argos supports the application of reliable end-to-end authentication solutions to actual businesses.

Argos recently collaborated with Kakao Entertainment to provide solutions to prevent fraudulent ticket sales, such as black market tickets and illegal tickets, to marketplaces and performance and event companies through its services, while also providing reliability and user convenience in the ticket reservation process for foreigners.

“Through collaboration with global tech companies, ARGOS’s technological prowess and market expansion potential have been verified once again,” said Son Seong-ho, Argos’ Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). “We will continue to lower the entry barriers so that domestic and foreign companies can easily adopt identity authentication technology, and make a real contribution to our clients’ business growth.”

Meanwhile, Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the global companies participating in this program, held an inaugural ceremony for the '2025 Jungle Program' for AI and SaaS startups on the 24th and began collaboration with 30 promising companies.

This program, in which the government and global companies work together to foster startups and connect markets, is expected to be an important turning point for Korean startups to advance into the global market.
