Mimetics announced on the 28th that it participated in 'CITE JAPAN 2025' held in Yokohama, Japan from May 14 to 16, 2025 and operated a joint booth with the Japanese company OG CORPORATION.
This exhibition is the first time that Mimetics has introduced its core technology, the 'negative pressure patch', to the Japanese market, and was conducted based on the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and joint research and development signed with OG CORPORATION last year. Through this event, the two companies laid the foundation for entering the Japanese premium market centered on transdermal drug delivery system (TDDS) technology.
Mimetics' negative pressure patch is a product that combines microstructures and micro-negative pressure technology, and is a non-invasive method that generates micro-negative pressure when attached to the skin to increase the absorption rate of effective ingredients. The technology can be used without damaging the skin barrier, and is evaluated as a non-irritating product.
Currently, negative pressure patches are applied to the eye area, between the eyebrows, and forehead, and can be customized with various effective ingredients. They are attracting attention as a next-generation transdermal drug delivery platform, recording a higher absorption rate than general cosmetics.
Mimetics plans to use this exhibition as an opportunity to strengthen its position in the Japanese market and expand its business area to Asian regions including Southeast Asia and China in the future.
Mimetics CEO Park Hyung-ki said, “This exhibition was an important opportunity for us to enter the Japanese market, and through collaboration with OG CORPORATION, we were able to directly introduce our technology and products.” He added, “There was a lot of interest from local consumers and buyers in negative pressure patch technology, and we will accelerate our expansion into the Japanese market.”
