Sage (Co-CEOs Jongwoo Park and Youngseok Hong) , an industry-specialized AI machine vision company, announced that it won Vision Systems Design's '2025 Innovators Awards' for its AI-based machine vision solution 'Sage Vision'.
This awards ceremony is an authoritative event in the machine vision industry hosted by the American media group Endeavor. Every year, the most innovative products and brands in the machine vision and image processing fields are selected and awarded at the international conference. The Innovators Awards comprehensively evaluates originality, innovation, user impact, marketability, and productivity improvement to determine the winners. This year's awards ceremony was held on the 12th at the Innovation Theater of the Automate exhibition held at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan.
“This award is a result of international recognition of Sage Vision’s technological excellence and practical performance in the market,” said Lee Seong-woo, Sage Marketing Division Director. “We will continue to provide more sophisticated and reliable solutions to meet the needs of global customers.”
Sage is a startup that is developing 'Sage Vision', a deep learning-based AI machine vision software, to automate the manufacturing industry's exterior inspection that used to depend on the naked eye. It is attracting attention from large domestic and foreign companies because it can identify qualitative exterior defects such as scratches, dents, and stains that were difficult to handle with existing rule-based algorithms with high-precision AI. It is currently supplying solutions to actual production lines by collaborating with major secondary battery manufacturers such as Samsung SDI, LG Energy Solution, and SK On, as well as LS Cable & System, Hanwha Solutions, and Daedeok Electronics. In 2024, it successfully attracted KRW 15.5 billion in Series B investment, proving its technological prowess and market competitiveness.
Sage is building a portfolio of AI-based solutions that solve various challenges in the manufacturing industry, including Sage Vision, process monitoring solution Sage Beams, and safety monitoring solution Sage Safety.
