Agos, a subsidiary of Human Technology specializing in anti-drone and next-generation radio communication systems, announced on the 28th that it had been selected as the final successful bidder for the purchase and installation of an illegal drone response system at the Sejong Government Complex, in which it formed a consortium with Hanwha Systems.
This project was conducted through an open bidding process through the Public Procurement Service’s National Procurement Service, and while many domestic anti-drone related companies participated, Agos received high scores in the technology evaluation and was selected as the final bidder. Agos was recognized for its competitiveness based on its accumulated anti-drone system construction performance, independent technology, and system completeness.
The scope of the business will cover the entire construction process, including the supply and installation of illegal drone response systems, equipment performance testing, operator training, and pilot operations, and Agos and Hanwha Systems will jointly assume responsibility for the project. The system will be installed with the goal of strengthening the security of government buildings, and will focus on enhancing drone threat detection and response capabilities.
Agos explained that in this bid, its self-developed frequency (RF) scanner and integrated processing operation system demonstrated excellent performance and received positive responses from the evaluators. Based on this, the company expects to be able to carry out its business stably and secure a competitive edge in winning similar business orders in the future.
As security threats related to drones and unmanned aerial vehicles have increased recently, the demand for anti-drone systems is expanding, especially in public institutions and major infrastructure facilities. This Sejong Government Complex response system construction project was also promoted in this trend, and is interpreted as part of efforts to strengthen the defense system for major national facilities.
Agos is currently supplying anti-drone solutions to various sites such as power plants, airports, military bases, and national industrial complexes, and is developing and operating core elements such as frequency scanning equipment, surveillance cameras, and integrated control systems with its own technology. The company has secured a high market share in the domestic market and is also seeking to enter overseas markets through technological advancement.
