Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training and the Association of Korean Educational Researchers in the US Sign Business Agreement

The Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training and the Korean American Educational Research Association (KAERA) signed a business agreement (MOU) at the '2025 KAERA Annual Conference' held in Denver, Colorado, USA on April 23 (local time).

The Korea-American Educational Researchers Association (KAERA) is a non-profit organization established in 2008 with the goal of strengthening academic exchanges and networks between educational researchers, teachers, and graduate students in North America and Korea. It currently has about 1,000 members and holds regular academic conferences and seminars every year.

This conference was held under the theme of “Redefining Education: How New Research and Technology Are Transforming Learning.” In her congratulatory remarks, Koh Hye-won, president of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, said, “I hope this will be an opportunity to seek new research directions in preparation for the changes in vocational education and training policies under the second Trump administration.”

Kim Jeong-hwan, President of KAERA (professor at Texas A&M University), emphasized the significance of the agreement, saying, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to expand the international academic network and lay the foundation for practical cooperation between Korean and American educational researchers.”

At this event, the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training presented the current status of policy research on the past, present, and future direction of Korean vocational education and training and shared related research results.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to pursue various forms of cooperation, including ▲ conducting joint research, ▲ jointly hosting academic events, and ▲ sharing research data.
