Image processing AI startup MayI (CEO Chan-gyu Kim) announced that it signed an expanded supply contract with LG Electronics for its store analysis AI solution 'mAsh' and will provide the solution to 60 LG Electronics Best Shop stores nationwide.
MayI conducted a technology verification (PoC) by supplying Mesh's 'Smart Tracking Plan' to LG Electronics Best Shop Gangseo Main Store and Gangbuk Main Store in 2022. LG Electronics judged that the key performance indicators (KPIs) and visitor analysis insights provided by Mesh were useful for establishing store operation strategies and improving performance, and introduced them to 20 stores in 2023, followed by an additional 40 stores early this year.
MASH is an image processing AI solution based on a deep learning algorithm developed by MayI. It analyzes the operational data of offline stores and provides various insights and key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to improve performance, helping establish marketing strategies and optimize operations for each store.
Through this, Mayai suggests the optimal operation strategy for each LG Electronics Best Shop store and supports performance improvement. In particular, it identifies the journey from product experience, staff consultation, and purchase step by step and derives improvement points for each step, contributing to improving store experience and purchase conversion rates.
In addition, based on various data and insights that can be checked on Mash's web dashboard 'mAsh Board', space operation is optimized through customized strategies for each store, such as planning promotions for stores with low traffic, adjusting product placement and traffic routes for stores with low experience rates, and improving response methods for stores with low consultation conversion rates compared to the number of visitors.
Kim Chan-gyu, CEO of May-I, said, “Starting with PoC, expanding the official contract to 60 stores nationwide is a representative case that proves the utility of Mesh,” and added, “We will work hard to provide more accurate and in-depth data on the visitor purchase funnel so that many clients, including LG Electronics, can find answers to improving store performance.”
Meanwhile, Mayai has recorded an average annual sales growth of 200% for the five years since its establishment, and has secured major domestic companies such as LG Electronics, Hyundai Motors, and CGV as its clients to support store operation efficiency. In addition, it has its own technology to anonymize and then delete sensitive information in videos, and was recognized for its high security, officially declaring compliance with the EU's 'GDPR' and 'AI Act' in October of last year.
