Sling Inc. (CEO Kangmin Ahn), which operates the tablet learning app for test takers called ‘Orzo’, announced that it has been selected for the ‘Baby Unicorn Development Project’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

Baby Unicorn is a business that discovers promising companies with innovative business models and growth potential and fosters them into potential unicorns with a corporate value of over KRW 100 billion. Sling was finally selected after being recognized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups for its cumulative investment performance, technology evaluation grade, business performance, and global expansion potential.

Accordingly, Sling will receive various benefits for business expansion and global advancement, including market development funds of up to KRW 300 million, special guarantees of up to KRW 5 billion, linkages for attracting follow-up investments, global consulting and IR, and support for establishing overseas corporations.

Sling, which has proven its superior technology and potential for success through its selection as the Baby Unicorn, plans to sequentially update its internationally recognized test preparation content and multilingual AI tutor functions and accelerate its global expansion.

Sling's flagship service, 'Orzo', is characterized by providing personalized learning to test takers through the interactive AI tutor 'Orzo AI Coach' along with convenient problem solving, explanations, and review functions for all subjects based on tablets and smart pencils.

In particular, Orzo expanded this year from the existing college entrance exam study to a tablet study app that covers civil service exams, Korean history proficiency tests, and adult education, and based on this, it surpassed 800,000 cumulative downloads and ranked first in sales and popularity based on the App Store education app in May.

Sling CEO An Kang-min said, “Starting with Baby Unicorn, we will focus on growth and aim to become the first edutech company to reach unicorn status,” adding, “We will continue to expand Orzo’s content to identify the needs of not only domestic but also global test takers and to enable them to study with ease.”

Meanwhile, Sling is continuously being recognized for its growth capabilities, including being selected for the '2025 Service BM Overseas Expansion Support Project' by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) this year and Google's 'Google for Startup Accelerator: AI First'.
