Lighting specialist Kumho Electric Co., Ltd. announced that it will visit the 'UAS EXPO 2025 (International Drone Expo)' held in Shenzhen, China from the 23rd to the 25th to strategically explore new businesses in the drone sector.
'UAS EXPO 2025' is an Asian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and unmanned system exhibition, and is an international exhibition where you can see the latest technology and market trends in the global drone industry at a glance. The exhibition area alone reaches 30,000㎡, and around 4,000 types of products that make up drones, such as the drone body, camera, rotor, ESC, and propeller, are on display, so it is also called a 'drone department store'.
Held annually in Shenzhen, the expo has established itself as a global exchange venue where major companies, research institutes, experts, and policymakers in the drone industry from China and around the world gather in one place. This year, more than 400 companies, ranging from new startups to mid-sized and large companies based on cutting-edge technology, are expected to participate in the expo, and various drone technologies and solutions are expected to be showcased.
Kumho Electric’s goal for this exhibition visit is to ▲ conduct market research on drone industry technology and application cases ▲ understand the supply chain of related raw and auxiliary materials ▲ establish a foundation for creating high value-added businesses. In addition to visiting major booths, the company plans to gain insight into the drone industry as a whole and increase practical understanding through information exchange with industry insiders.
Last year, Kumho Electric signed a business agreement (MOU) with Pablo Aviation, which possesses drone delivery solutions and UAM integrated control service capabilities, and at this exhibition, it plans to explore the possibility of convergence between drone technology and existing businesses based on a broad understanding of industry trends.
A Kumho Electric official said, “This visit to UAS EXPO 2025 is the first step toward broadening understanding of the drone industry and concretizing the direction of the company’s future new business,” adding, “It is significant in exploring the application possibilities and business models based on new technologies in a rapidly changing technological environment.”
