
Payoneer, a financial solutions company that supports global transactions and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises around the world, is joining hands with TikTok to support domestic brands’ entry into the US TikTok Shop and global business expansion. Payoneer announced that it participated as an overseas payment solution partner in the ‘Go Global with TikTok’ business seminar held at JBK Convention Hall in Seoul on the 22nd.
This seminar, attended by around 200 people from various brands, was designed to share practical strategies for domestic brands to enter the US TikTok Shop without a local US corporation by using TikTok's newly released 'Korea-US Cross Border' solution. Payoneer operated a separate consulting zone and provided 1:1 consulting services to on-site attendees to suggest global payment management and cross-border business customized strategies.
“Our partnership with TikTok is in line with Payoneer’s vision to help domestic e-commerce brands easily expand their businesses into the global market through a wider range of channels,” said Wooyong Lee, CEO of Payoneer Korea. “Payoneer’s global business-specific solutions and reliable total financial platform will help Korean brands smoothly enter the US TikTok shop and safely and efficiently manage their overseas sales.”
He continued, “The global e-commerce market size is expected to reach approximately 3.45 trillion dollars (approximately 4,720 trillion won) in 2025, and cross-border transactions are also showing a high growth rate of over 30% per year.” He added, “In particular, as overseas expansion through social commerce is becoming more active, Payoneer will actively support cross-border payments so that domestic brands can achieve stable growth within the US TikTok Shop ecosystem.”
TikTok Shop is an in-app e-commerce feature that allows users to directly browse and purchase products through video feeds, live broadcasts, and product introduction videos within the TikTok app. Brands can introduce products using TikTok content, and users can make payments without leaving the app, providing a more convenient shopping experience.
This collaboration between Payoneer and TikTok is evaluated as a turning point that lowers the entry barrier for domestic brands to enter the US market. Payoneer supports domestic companies to safely settle sales generated in major overseas markets including the US and manage funds efficiently through a stable payment infrastructure based on virtual accounts. In addition, it plans to provide competitive exchange rates, transparent fee structures, logistics network connections, and integrated financial reports that allow you to see global sales flows at a glance to practically support the global business operations of brands.
