AP Green selected as '2025 First Innovation Premier 1000'

APGREEN, a startup specializing in eco-friendly hydrogen production technology, has been selected as one of the '2025 First Innovation Premier 1000' companies hosted by the Financial Services Commission and 12 related ministries.

'Innovation Premier 1000' is a policy finance fast-track program that the government will be actively promoting starting in 2024. It discovers small and medium-sized enterprises with proven technological and growth potential and provides them with comprehensive support in finance, research and development (R&D), and regulatory exemptions. It is jointly operated by 13 ministries including the Financial Services Commission, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, as well as policy finance institutions such as the KDB Industrial Bank, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, and selects up to 1,000 companies per year.

This time, AP Green was recognized as a representative case of innovation in the 'eco-friendly energy technology' sector. The company independently developed an on-site hydrogen production system based on partial oxidation (POX), thereby simultaneously resolving the excessive power consumption, water resource dependency, and high-cost transportation structure of existing water electrolysis and SMR (steam methane reforming) methods.

This device can produce hydrogen directly from various carbon-based fuels under anhydrous and low-power conditions, and thus can be widely applied to distributed infrastructure such as hydrogen charging stations, fuel cell power plants, industrial boilers, and biogas treatment facilities.

An AP Green official said, “This selection is an official recognition by the government not only of our technological prowess but also of our market expansion potential, showing that our technology can be a key player in the transition to a clean hydrogen industry.” He added, “We will continue to advance our technology and accelerate our global expansion.”
