Launched in 2014, Ideas has supported various activities such as education, photography, and promotion so that handicraft artists can introduce and sell their own works, and provides a differentiated shopping experience through direct communication between artists and consumers.

In addition, the number of members of Ideas' paid membership subscription model, d+, which was launched in June of last year, is increasing by an average of 20% per month, exceeding 95,000 as of last month, and is driving 30% of total sales.

Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, “Ideas is growing beyond a simple shopping platform into a community platform that connects and expands the domestic handicraft ecosystem,” and added, “We will continue to work to expand awareness of the handicraft market.”
Currently, Ideas is selling works by artists from various fields such as ceramics, leather, metal, and glass crafts, accessories, fashion, interior decoration items, and handmade food. More than half of the users are women in their 20s and 30s, making it a representative lifestyle platform popular with the MZ generation.
