Stellar Vision, a satellite data analysis company, announced on the 26th that it has signed a partnership with French defense and aerospace company Thales.

Through this agreement, Stella Vision has proven its technological prowess in the global satellite imaging market and established a bridgehead for full-scale overseas expansion.

StellaVision is a company specializing in SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar)-based satellite image analysis technology, and possesses a proprietary algorithm that dramatically improves the accuracy and analysis speed of satellite images. It is recognized for its strengths in fields that require high-precision satellite information, such as military, disaster surveillance, and marine surveillance, by securing high accuracy and speed even in complex image processing processes.

Thales is a global company in the aerospace, defense, and cybersecurity sectors, operating in 68 countries. As of 2023, its annual sales are 18.4 billion euros (about 28.6 trillion won), and its defense sector ranks 17th in the world.

Through this partnership, the two companies plan to gradually expand the scope of their cooperation, focusing on ▲ joint PoC (proof of concept) projects ▲ global certification and technology verification ▲ market and network sharing. In particular, Stella Vision aims to significantly increase its overseas sales ratio by 2026 by securing global certification that meets Thales’ strict quality and security standards.

StellaVision CEO Seung-cheol Lee said, “We expect this collaboration to be an opportunity to prove StellaVision’s technological reliability on a global scale,” and added, “We will launch the SaaS version of our self-developed satellite data platform, ‘Stellar Space Hub,’ within this year and begin to fully advance into the global market.”

Meanwhile, Stella Vision completed a pre-A investment of 3.7 billion won in September 24, and major investors include UTC Investment and Hana Ventures.
