Fintech and blockchain specialist Dunamu announced that it has created an immersive healing space, 'Second Forest: Digital Healing Garden', at the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo. It will be open until October 20th and will be located at Boramae Park in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, where the Seoul International Garden Expo is being held.
The Digital Healing Garden is a virtual forest and urban garden presented by Dunamu with the motto of ‘forest and garden that everyone can enjoy.’ Based on digital technology, the virtual forest is implemented in the form of a media facade, allowing those who are unable to move freely due to work or physical reasons to enjoy the vitality and beauty of nature. The media facade, which combines ICT and art, has recently been applied to many buildings and is gaining attention.
The Digital Healing Garden was planned to realize a true virtuous cycle of recovery in which humans heal nature and nature heals humans, based on the idea that a sustainable future comes from the coexistence of nature and humans. It is a rebranding of the Second Forest campaign, which presents a new alternative for citizen participation by planting virtual trees planted in the metaverse in real places affected by forest fires. The Second Forest campaign was selected as an excellent example of government innovation in the public sector in Korea by the OECD Public Innovation Initiative (OPSI) in 2023.
This digital healing garden uses high-definition LED images, sounds, scents, and other devices that stimulate the five senses to give visitors an immersive experience as if they were in an actual forest. The content is organized into three themes: “Quiet Forest,” “Warm Forest,” and “Breathing Forest,” containing the colorful scenery of a forest that is not easily accessible on a regular basis. The garden is designed with a blockchain structure in which linear layers are constantly expanded, allowing visitors to naturally recover from psychological and emotional trauma by following the matrix that combines the everyday city and the extraordinary forest.
Seed Vault NFT Collection Season 3 is also linked. The Seed Vault NFT Collection is a representative biodiversity conservation project of Dunamu. It combines the characteristics of NFT (Non-Fungible Token) with the environment, publicizes the scarcity value of plant resources, and contributes to the protection and preservation of the Earth's ecosystem. The number of participants in Seasons 1 and 2 alone reached approximately 30,000, and the Season 3 pre-event held in May for 1,000 people was also garnering a hot response, closing in 30 minutes.
Until June 30th, you can participate in Seed Vault NFT Collection Season 3 through events such as giving away your own healing seeds and NFTs at the Digital Healing Garden. The funds raised through Seed Vault NFT Collection Season 3 will be used to create a rare and native plant conservation area, just like in previous seasons. In Seed Vault NFT Collection Season 1, a total of 29 rare and native plants were planted at Shingu University Botanical Garden, and in Season 2, 48 species of Rose of Sharon and a total of 39 rare and native plants were planted at Jinju Botanical Museum. The third conservation area will be established at the site of the Digital Healing Garden after the Seoul International Garden Expo, and the Digital Healing Garden will be relocated to the National Garden Culture Center (Damyang) of the Korea Arboretum, a partner organization.
There will also be an Instagram event and survey that you can easily participate in. If you follow the Dunamu ESG Instagram account and upload a post with the hashtags #SecondForest and #DigitalHealingGarden, you will receive a room spray with the same scent as the healing garden as a gift. If you participate in the survey about the healing effect and areas for improvement, you will receive Dunamu's Securities Plus character 'Deoksang-i' as a gift.
Lee Seok-woo, CEO of Dunamu, said, “I hope that those who are tired of their daily lives will find warm comfort in the digital healing garden held in conjunction with the Seoul International Garden Expo.” He added, “Doonamu will continue to create a sustainable future with beneficial technologies and powerful finance.”
