MarkVision Selected as Official Partner for YouTube's 'Corporate Copyright Match Tool'

MarkVision , an AI-based IP integrated protection solution company, announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as an official partner for YouTube's corporate-only copyright protection system, the 'Enterprise Copyright Match Tool (ECMT)'.

ECMT is the most powerful copyright protection tool provided by YouTube, and is a system where legally binding partners can directly detect and request sanctions against harmful content. Companies selected as ECMT partners have the authority to identify copyright infringing content in real time within the YouTube platform and take automated measures against repeated violations.

With this selection of partners, Markvision will be able to respond more quickly and effectively to copyright infringement cases across all K-contents, including unauthorized scrolling videos of webtoons, edited versions of movie and drama clips, and game download-inducing content. In particular, similar content or re-uploaded videos can be automatically tracked and sanctioned through a detection system based on registered copyright assets.

Due to the nature of the YouTube platform, content sanctions generally involve a manual review process and take several days or more, but copyright infringement reports submitted by ECMT partners are processed with priority. Accordingly, MarkVision clients are expected to receive real-time protection for their IPs, as well as significantly improve the speed of response to damage to brand trust.

ECMT is a program in which less than 100 content management companies around the world are registered, and among them, to be selected as a partner, high standards such as technological prowess, legal consistency, and content operation reliability must be met. MarkVision was selected based on its AI-based copyright protection technology and experience in protecting intellectual property (IP) for global brands.

Lee In-seop, CEO of Markvision, said, “This selection as an ECMT partner is official recognition of Markvision’s expertise and technological prowess in the global IP protection market,” and added, “We will continue to respond more precisely and preemptively to IP threats faced by global content companies.”
